Such an amazing place to visit! I really love this place. If you have read any of my previous posts, you already know that Chankanaab is one of my favorite places. One of the things to realize when you visit Mexico is that depending where you are, not all of the beaches are swimmable beaches. The one that I have captured above is one of those.

As you can see from the video, the weather was absolutely perfect. We are very thankful for this weather now since we are now in the midst of the fall season. Great thing about visiting island locations is that the weather seems perfect all the time 😂. That is why the phrase “snowbirds” is so popular during the fall and the winter.

I encourage you to “find your beach 🏖” wherever that may be, particularly during the fall and winter seasons. Not too late to join the snow bird 🦅 club.

Fun at Laguna Cozumel 😎☀️

Happy New Week to you😎. The weekend never seems to be long enough 😂 Travel always take you away from the regular, ordinary and the mundane 👍. Should your travel plans take you to Cozumel, I highly suggest visiting the Chankanaab Beach 🏖 Park. One of the beauties that this park has to offer is the Laguna Cozumel, which as you can see from the video, is just amazing : youtube.com/shorts/bnKHeJafaik

You can take a wonderful walk around this Laguna and feel as as if you have discovered paradise. Cannot beat the beautiful views that this Laguna contains. You may ask the question, “is swimming allowed?”. Well, it is not allowed, there are a number of beaches that are located in Chankanaab where you could swim, snorkel etc.

In order to do all of the activities included at this park, you really need about 2 days. There is so much to do and so little time to do it. Once you are there, time does not seem to stand still. On the contrary, it goes by so fast. There is a Dolphin Discovery, sea lion show. several beaches, tequila tasting, great restaurants, shopping etc. Almost too good to be true.

As you can see from the video above, it is just phenomenal. This was an excursion that I booked on my Carnival Cruise voyage to the Western Caribbean. With cruises, you only have a few hours on land before it is time to resume the sea voyage. I am glad that I was able to make this time count!

Waterfall Chaser 🤩!

I love chasing waterfalls! Anywhere a waterfall is located, I want to go see it. It is so nice and so peaceful looking at the beautiful water 💦. Perhaps not a more peaceful, serene scene than watching and hearing the sound of waterfalls. Here is one of those majestic beauties, on full display: youtube.com/shorts/ySAnpt75Vf4

Doesn’t it look heavenly? 😃 I could go see this waterfall again. This is Kahuna Falls which is located in the Akaka Falls State Park in Hilo, Hawaii. It was so exciting hiking 🥾 to this beautiful location. Rules of the park do not allow you to hike down to the waterfall but to observe it from a lookout point which is where I am standing while looking at this beautiful wonder of nature!

One thing to consider when visiting this park is that it is definitely at a higher mountain elevation. If you have not visited the mountains before, it takes a different type of conditioning – which you will notice as you hike there. I found myself huffing and puffing after hiking a short while.

You may ask the question, what is the Window to the Pacific? Well, as the name implies, it is in fact an archway from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Ocean. Pretty cool, huh 🤔?

Space Week Vibes 🌝 👩‍🚀!

What a wonderful week for space exploration. Blue Origin made history this past week, taking the oldest astronaut (William Shatner [aka Captain Kirk] to space. Space has always been so fascinating to so many people. With the space race heating up between Blue Origin and Space X. They both are on a journey to take civilians to space.

As these companies get more mature, there will be opportunities for us all to take a voyage to outer space. In the meantime, NASA Space Centers are available here in the USA to satisfy our hunger for space. As you can see, the moon ambiance was in full effect😃. It contained astronauts, moon craters, Lunar Rover Vehicles etc. You had the feeling that you were in space as you walked around the exhibit. As you can see from the video, there were quite a few people visiting the moon exhibit that day.

Hopefully you will take the opportunity to visit one of the NASA Space Centers. It is very family friendly and the kids will definitely enjoy the experience. I was hoping to experience a zero gravity room but alas we have not quite gotten to that point as of yet. 😂

Views for Days and Nights ☀️ 🌝

Sometimes when you are feeling just a little creative, you start editing pictures and video to more accurately capture the beautiful moment that is appearing before your eyes. I felt that way when I captured the following video: youtube.com/shorts/PwwbjIln_eQ

When you are not accustomed to views like these on a daily or nightly basis, creativity takes over 😂. It is for that reason that I never take for granted the opportunity to travel because it is definitely a luxury. Nothing makes me feel more closer to myself and to the world.

This particular beauty was captured from the balcony of the Hilton Waikoloa Village- Ocean Tower. What a wonderful stay this was. I will always remember it because I was awaken by the birds 🦅 chirping every morning 😃 which was pretty cool. No matter where I have traveled before in the world 🌎, that has never been my experience.

Hope that you enjoyed watching the video. The grounds of the Fairmont Orchid was just gorgeous! I visited the Fairmont Orchid for the first time ever on this trip and it was such an unbelievable experience. I would definitely do so again.

The hotel is just humongous. We walked for days, it seemed, just to get to our room. There are several towers at this hotel so you have to do a lot of walking and using the elevators. As you walk from building to building, you observe the magnificent beauty that is found around every corner of this phenomenal hotel.

Truly one of the best luxury resorts that I have ever stayed in. The service is just top notch and the rooms are some of the most spacious that I have ever been in. I definitely give this beautiful place, two thumbs up for the attention to detail that is to be found there to every aspect of luxury.

Fancy Like – Sailing ⛵️

Over the past couple of years, I have grown very fond of sailing. I went from never sailing prior to 2018 to sailing at least once a year. Sailing has a way of calming you as you are out on the sea.

The rock structure that you see (the one that looks like a finger) is called Neptune’s Finger and it is located in the Sea of Cortez which is the body of water captured in the video. Seeing views like these, even now, just blows my mind. Especially being this close to it, just amazes me.

During this trip I saw the world famous Cabo San Lucas Arch, Lovers Beach, Pathway to the Pacific etc. What a magnificent sailing trip this was. Cannot wait to go back! 😃

Life is a Beach 🏖😎🙌!

Life is totally a beach 🏖 or something like that 😂! If you have never seen a black sand beach, here is is: youtube.com/watch

This particular beach is called Punalu’u Beach and it is located on the Big Island of Hawaii between the towns of Pahala and Naalehu in Kau.,If you have seen other blog posts of mine before, I have referenced this particular beach before. The cool thing about black sand is that it is very cool to the the touch. This is mainly due to the minerals that are found in the sand. Hard to believe that black sand is cooler to the touch than white sand 😃

From the video you can tell that it was pretty windy outside. It was a great combination between the nice breeze and the warm (just right) temperature that we experienced on that day. Made for a wonderful day to be outside for sure!

Cruises are just so much fun😎 If you have never cruised before, do yourself a favor and do so, if only once! If you have cruised before, you know the feeling of relaxation that you get from being on a cruise. Unlike anything that I have personally experienced before.

On this particular cruise, we were our way to the Western Caribbean where we spent time in Costa Maya, Belize and Cozumel. As you can see from the locations listed, a cruise enables you to see these beautiful locations all in one trip. Otherwise, you would have to book separate trips to each one.

Of course this was pre- pandemic 😷 so things would likely have changed since this time. I plan to cruise again next year and I am definitely looking forward to it. Hope to see you on a future trip!
