Footprints in the Sand 😎!

One of my favorite poems of all time is “Footprints in the Sand”. If you have not read it, I encourage you to do so. Such a powerful message that resonates even more now in the days we live in. I cannot help but think about this poem when I look at this beautiful beach, filled with footprints πŸ‘£ in the sand: youtube.com/shorts/-NVWqJiQ9co

If you are wondering which hotel that this video was taken, it was taken at the Hilton Los Cabos Resort. I was on the balcony of my hotel room which thankfully was an ocean side view. Ocean view rooms are always ideal but they tend to be more expensive.

This particular day, as you can tell from the video, was clear and sunny. We tend to long for these type of days especially during the winter. The great thing about tropical 🐠 locations is that they have these days throughout the whole year. Birds have the right idea to fly south for the winter πŸ˜‚!

Snow birds are very popular this time of the year. There are always warm, tropical locations to flock too. Not a bad way to spend winter πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜ƒβ˜οΈ!

Sailing the Cabo Sea 🚀 🌊

If you have never gone sailing before, it is such a wonderful experience. Before sailing ⛡️, I would avoid it because I figured that I would get sea sick πŸ€’. Here is a voyage that I took along the Sea of Cortez in Cabo San Lucas: youtube.com/shorts/JgOcPplWsH4

Prior to this voyage, I took my first cruise with Carnival. I packed Dramamine, a wristband (that helps avoid seasickness) and I packed the little circle bandaid type strips that are designed to go behind your ear. To my surprise, I did not get seasick but felt pretty sick because I spent money on all of these products that are designed to help prevent seasickness πŸ˜‚.

Still, it is always better to be safe rather than sorry. I had a wonderful time on both the Carnival and Cabo voyage. As you can tell from the video, the weather was very beautiful and the waves were not as choppy. Truly one of the best voyages that I have been on because of the weather and the wonderful tour guide that we had on that day.

In case you are interested in booking this same tour, it can be found on the Trip Advisor site or app. It is the Cabo San Lucas Glass Bottom Boat tour and it contains a couple of hours on the sea, tour of a glass blowing factory, lunch, tequila tasting and a tour around the city of San Jose del Cabo. You will be so glad that you booked this tour – prepare to have loads of fun 🀩!

Paradise Found – Black Sand Beach πŸ– πŸ˜ŽπŸ–

If you have never seen a black sand beach before, take a look at this beauty: youtube.com/shorts/DuYuHBMULK8

I love the great contrast between the sand and the blue waterπŸ˜ƒ. What a spectacular day it was to be there also. I was particularly grateful on this day because on my previous visit to this beach, it was raining cats and dogs πŸ˜‚. I had no other choice but to leave because the weather was so bad.

On my trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, I was looking forward to having this experience. I could not wait to experience this for myself. The sand was so cool to the touch, if it was possible to take some of the sand back to me, I would have, just as a great souvenir!

After going to my first black sand beach, I am now looking for opportunities to go to other black sand beaches! They are so beautiful and an awesome wonder. I will need to visit the Big Island again to see if I can visit a green sand beach πŸ–. Imagine how cool that would be!

Best View – Hardest Climb πŸ§—β€β™€οΈπŸ˜€

As the old adage goes: “The best view comes after the hardest climb” – it is most certainly the case for today’s video, which I have posted here: youtube.com/shorts/uH4yARD52-0

It is a short, beautiful capture of the courtyard of the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort. Lovely manicured landscape and beautiful flowers πŸ’ in addition to lush vegetation. Looks like paradise to me!πŸ˜ƒ Never in my wildest dreams, could I have envisioned such a place.

You may ask the question, “Did you have to climb anything to see this view?”. There was not a physical structure that needed to be climbed to see this. The mountains that had to be climbed were fear, doubt and despair brought about by the pandemic of 2020.

This particular Hawaii trip had to be postponed a number of times in 2020 before it was actually taken in 2021. I was very anxious over this trip because it represented the first one that I would take after lockdown and quarantine. I am so glad to report that it was one of the best trips that I have ever taken and it was one of the safest ones also.πŸ˜€πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

So yes, sometimes the best views do come after the hardest climb. Certainly the hardest climb that I have ever endured!

Views for Days and Nights β˜€οΈ 🌝

Sometimes when you are feeling just a little creative, you start editing pictures and video to more accurately capture the beautiful moment that is appearing before your eyes. I felt that way when I captured the following video: youtube.com/shorts/PwwbjIln_eQ

When you are not accustomed to views like these on a daily or nightly basis, creativity takes over πŸ˜‚. It is for that reason that I never take for granted the opportunity to travel because it is definitely a luxury. Nothing makes me feel more closer to myself and to the world.

This particular beauty was captured from the balcony of the Hilton Waikoloa Village- Ocean Tower. What a wonderful stay this was. I will always remember it because I was awaken by the birds πŸ¦… chirping every morning πŸ˜ƒ which was pretty cool. No matter where I have traveled before in the world 🌎, that has never been my experience.

I hope that you enjoy the above video and that you have a great day! πŸ˜ƒ

Views for days – All AboardπŸ˜ƒ!

If you never have been onboard a Carnival Cruise, feel free to take a (pre-pandemic) look at what it is like: youtube.com/shorts/Z3G45L80oDQ

Cruises are just so much fun😎 If you have never cruised before, do yourself a favor and do so, if only once! If you have cruised before, you know the feeling of relaxation that you get from being on a cruise. Unlike anything that I have personally experienced before.

On this particular cruise, we were our way to the Western Caribbean where we spent time in Costa Maya, Belize and Cozumel. As you can see from the locations listed, a cruise enables you to see these beautiful locations all in one trip. Otherwise, you would have to book separate trips to each one.

Of course this was pre- pandemic 😷 so things would likely have changed since this time. I plan to cruise again next year and I am definitely looking forward to it. Hope to see you on a future trip!

Poolside Vibes for a New Week – Kalahari WaterPark

Until the official end of summer (Labor Day) there is still time to enjoy the sights and sounds of pool vibes 😎 like the ones that I have captured here: youtube.com/shorts/511-CTG0_Fk

Whether you are at Kalahari, or in your backyard, there is no better way to beat the heat than relaxing at the pool.πŸ˜ƒ As you can see from the video above, on this particular day, the pool was the popular option πŸ˜‚. I certainly had fun relaxing here and having it indoors did not hurt at all.

I believe that it felt so much more exceptionally well given all that we as a society has endured due to the pandemic 😷. Just felt like a tremendous release – as if we we all were waiting to exhale.

Enjoy the above video. Hopefully these good times will return soon. It was very nice to experience at least for a short time.

Behold πŸ˜ƒ – Belize πŸ‡§πŸ‡Ώ 🏝 😎!

One of the best places that I have ever visited is Belize! Behold the beauty of this magnificent location here: youtube.com/shorts/huSi1F6itdE

I had just arrived (on this gorgeous day) at around 8:00 am and as you can tell from the video, it was so beautiful. You can look at the views from the port and it gives you just a taste of what Belize has to offer.

While I was there, I got to take a cruise of the Belize River which was just so magnificent. I will share more on future posts, but suffice it to say, it felt good to be able to check this off my bucket listπŸ™Œ.

Hope that you enjoy the video and I look forward to posting more in the days and weeks ahead.

Coming in Hot πŸ₯΅- Mount Kilauea Volcano πŸŒ‹ Vent

Coming in hot on a Thursday πŸ˜ƒπŸŒ‹! Check out the video that I just posted of the only active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. There are volcano vents on the outside of the volcano- just like this one here: youtube.com/shorts/xLKFsRu5OVE

What a sight to see that it was. Just an amazing sight to behold. Before this experience, I had never seen one of these in person but cannot wait to see another one. These vents allow steam and other gases to emit from the base of the volcano. The steam was very hot πŸ₯΅ which contrasted nicely with the cold weather that was outside.

If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Volcano State Park in Hawaii, please do so. It is such an incredible place to visit while you are there. You will be so glad that you did!

Keep Calm and Wobble πŸ˜ƒπŸπŸ–!

Nothing else like dancing in a group. πŸ˜ƒ Couple that with being on vacation at a beach and you have excellent memories. Such is the case with my first and only visit to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Certainly not my last for sure.

The wobble is a very iconic dance that is widely known by almost everyone. This particular video today shows the fun that I experienced doing the wobble after dinner on the beach. Certainly an experience like none other that I have had. This beach was located onsite at the Hilton Rose Hall Hotel in case you may want to visit.

I hope that you enjoy the vibes here and make sure, by all means, to Keep Calm and Wobble! πŸ’ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ”₯πŸ‡―πŸ‡²
