Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ–๐ŸŒด

Since vaccines are being rolled out now to almost everyone, there is a renewed optimism about life getting back to normal very soon. I certainly experienced this optimism while traveling to Hawaii two weeks ago. Planes were packed, airports were packed and I saw a great number of people at the resorts that I visited.

What a true quote! Even during the difficult roads of 2020, we truly never know what destinations are around the corner.๐Ÿ˜ƒ Hawaii was my first trip of 2021 and it was such a dream destination. It had been the number one location on my list for many years, but, of course, it costs a small fortune to be able to go. Thankfully, I was able to book this trip at a serious discount on last year – prior to COVID vaccines being rolled out!

One of the resorts was the KingsLandโ€™ – Waikoloa Village Resort in Hawaii. This resort was wonderful- it is now a timeshare community with spacious condominiums. This resort looked packed to capacity and it had some of the most amazing views.

One of these views that I would like to share is attached below. You can quickly get a great idea of the lush accommodations that are there onsite from the video. I was thoroughly impressed and it exceeded my expectations!

Volcanoes๐ŸŒ‹ in Hawaii (so amazing ๐Ÿคฉ)!

One of the most interesting places that I visited during my time on the Big Island in Hawaii was the Volcano National Park. What a great place to visit while you are in Hawaii! ๐Ÿ˜Š This was one of the sights that was included in the Deluxe Volcano Experience that Kailani Tours offers in their tour package.

The Volcano Experience offers a comprehensive tour of the island (coffee tour in Kona, Punaluโ€™u Beach Park, etc.) The richness of the experience is seeing a live, active volcano ๐ŸŒ‹ before your very eyes – which is a phenomenal experience. The tour takes you to Mount Kilauea where you can take pictures of the volcano both in the day and at night after you have finished the tour provided dinner.

Here is a quick video of Mount Kilauea in the day. It was wonderful to behold. My night pictures were too dark to share here but you will get the idea. A week in Paradise ๐Ÿ– ๐ŸŒด โ˜€๏ธ

It was a very long time coming but I finally took my first trip since the pandemic on last week. It was a trip to a location that for years, had been on the bucket list. That location was Hawaii! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Visiting the Big Island of Hawaii (via Kona) was a complete dream come true! I could not believe my eyes seeing the picturesque landscape of mountains, beaches, waterfalls (oh my ๐Ÿ˜ƒ). One more thing, Hawaii has volcanoes ๐ŸŒ‹. Truly unbelievable having all of the above in one location literally miles away from one another. The climate and elevation changed as you drove through the mountains and adventured to the Volcano State Park. You went from 85 degrees Fahrenheit on the beach to between 30 and 40 degrees at the volcano and in the mountains.

The people were so very friendly and so accommodating! Some of the best folks that I have ever met. I can truly say that out of all the various places that I have visited, this is truly the best. Here is a video of the sights and sounds of this beautiful paradise. More to come..

Last Day of 2020 ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™Œ – thought we would never get here!

What a year 2020 has been! Hard to believe this is the last day of a year that will forever be remembered for the pandemic, social injustice marches, masks, loved ones that were lost etc. This year has had its share of ups and many more downs. Through it all and in it all, we have made it to the final day. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I am very hopeful for a wonderful and prosperous New Year for myself and for us all. ๐Ÿ™Œ Hoping that we return to some since of normalcy within 2021. I believe that things can and will get better. We must keep the faith that better days are coming.

Thankfully I was able to do some traveling prior to the lockdown and quarantine period in March of this year. I was able to take a cruise to the Western Caribbean (Costa Maya, Cozumel and Belize). Also once the lockdown was lifted, I was able to take a staycation and visit a few places.

Attached below are some highlights from my 2020 posts from Instagram (travelfitguru). Feel free to connect on that platform and on Twitter and TikTok. Hope that you enjoy and that you have a wonderful and prosperous New Year! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Once upon a time in Montego Bay๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ– ๐ŸŒŠ ๐Ÿ

Once upon a time in Montego Bay, I had one of the best travel adventures of my life! ๐Ÿ˜Š This was my first and only time visiting this beautiful place but it will not be the last. So much fun in the sun โ˜€๏ธ, it was try hard to leave.

My stay started at the Rose Hall Hilton which is a superb all-inclusive hotel ๐Ÿจ. Shots in the video were taken on the grounds of this gorgeous hotel. Truly one of the best places that I have stayed. This hotel had it all, great food, awesome shows and beautiful amenities.

It was wonderfully located on a beach and it included a water park for the kids. The pools were magnificent and very large. I would definitely recommend this hotel with its rather spacious rooms!

Also included in the video are shots from Dunnโ€™s River Fall, Saint Annโ€™s River Rafting and other sights!

Fun on the High Seas ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Thinking back to the cruise that I took earlier this year to Mexico before the shutdown here in the USA. What an absolutely fun time that I had. Especially sailing to the first port of call in Costa Maya. The views were incredible and I thought that I was in paradise. Never seen so much deep blue water on a perfect Spring Day! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Almost like paradise for sure and to make it even better, it was in the morning with the sun shining and with a nice cool breeze.

Sometimes travel leaves you just speechless, this was one of those times๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ฏ
